Representatives of Jazz Cruises and the Playboy Jazz Festival will be present at the Playboy Jazz Festival to answer your questions about the cruise.  Our booth(s) will be located at the Marketplace West next to the West Gate Box Office (See B on the map below).

On Sunday, June 15, 2008, join Marcus Miller from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
at the Playboy Jazz Cruise booth. He will autograph a special cruise poster
for the first 500 visitors and for anyone who books the cruise at the Festival!

Jazz Cruises Salutes Herbie Hancock
Jazz Cruises, LLC wishes to extend our deepest congratulations to Herbie Hancock on winning the Album of the Year Grammy® Award! Once again, Herbie has reminded us, in the most magnificent way, of the power and importance of Jazz.  This is the first time in nearly 40 years that a jazz album has been so recognized and we are so proud that Herbie Hancock will be performing on the first annual Playboy Jazz Cruise.

Performance Format
For those unfamiliar with a Jazz Cruises, LLC performance format, the cruise will follow our concert series format for the evening shows.  Every night beginning around 6 pm, one half of the guests will dine, either in the Vista Dining Room (formal dining room), The Pinnacle Grill (alternative fine dining), the Lido Restaurant (casual dining), Room Service or in the 24 Hour Pizza and Pasta and one half of the guests will be in the Vista Lounge enjoying the Main Show for the evening.  Around 8:30 pm, this switches with the guests who were dining going to the show and those who went to the show enjoying their dinner.

Then, beginning around 10:30 pm, the entire ship is opened up to our “Cruising After Dark” programming, where we have multiple events in the various venues of the ship.  There will be music in the Ocean Bar, Queen’s Lounge and Crow’s Nest almost every night, with dancing to the grooves of a professional disc jockey.  There will be special performances by Comedian Alonzo Bodden, jam sessions and other fun themed late night events, such as, of course, the Playboy Jazz Cruise PA-JAM-A Party.

During our two full Days at Sea, there will be spectacular day time entertainment as well, with special interactive sessions with the performers, unique performances, Question and Answer Seminars and our daily specialty cocktail hour hosted by one or more of our star performers.  Do not miss the Playboy Jazz Cruise MMM (Marcus Miller Manhattan) or the Poncho Sanchez Margarita!!!
